About Buff Institute of Design, Madurai
A Madurai design institute rebuilt in 2025 under DesignDot Academy — teaching design, AI, technology and business through real projects, in small batches, by working professionals.
Our story
Buff Madurai opened in 2023 as a creative design studio. In 2025, Vimal Viswanathan — Founder of DesignDot Academy Private Limited — took ownership of the branch and rebuilt it from the ground up: a new studio, a new syllabus and a singular focus on real student outcomes.
Today the institute offers seven AI-integrated programs, from 3-month specialisations to a 12-month flagship career program. Students don't just learn software — they learn to find a real problem, research it, design a solution, use AI intelligently, build it and present it.
Industry-focused, project-based curriculum
Personal mentorship from working professionals
Small batches — never more than 20 students
